Components of Computers

Computers are made up of two parts: the hardware and the software.
Hardware: The physical equipment required to create, use, manipulate and store electronic data. The stuff you can actually see and touch, and would likely break if you threw is hardware.
Software: The computerized instructions that operate a computer, manipulate the data and execute particular functions or tasks.

Is the collection of computer programs and related data that provide the instructions telling a computer what to do. Software is intangible, meaning it "cannot be touched".
Hardware Components:

All computers require the following hardware components:
vCentral processing unit (CPU):
The chip or chips are the heart of a computer that enable it to process data. Also known as a processor.
